Ithaca, also Ithaki or Ithaka, is a Greek island located in the Ionian Sea, off the northeast coast of Kefalonia and to the west of continental Greece.

Alalcomenae or Alalkomenai, or Alcomenae or Alkomenai, was a town in Ithaca, or in the small island Asteris in the neighbourhood of Ithaca. Its site is located at the palaiokastro on modern Aëtos. Alalkomenés is situated 2½ km southwest of Skartsoumbonisi Ithakis.

Vathy or Vathi is the largest settlement on the Greek Ionian island of Ithaca and the seat of the Ithaca regional unit. It is located in the southern part of the island, in a deep natural harbour.
