Nastola is a former municipality of Finland. It was merged with the city of Lahti on 1 January 2016. In the province of Southern Finland, Nastola is part of the Päijät-Häme region.

Karisto as an area used to mean the hilltop of Karisto and also the coast side, but later on, Karisto became bigger and it spread to the area called Järvenpää. Karisto is situated 10 km northwest of Eskola.
