Red Fort, Delhi

The Red Fort is a historic Mughal fort located in the Old Delhi area of Delhi, India. Serving as the main residence of the Mughal emperors, it was commissioned by Emperor Shah Jahan on the 12th of May 1639; the fort was constructed following his decision to shift the Mughal capital from Agra to Delhi.

New Delhi railway station is the primary railway hub for the Indian capital, New Delhi, and an integral part of Indian Railways. Situated in Central Delhi, right next to Paharganj, approximately 2 kilometers north of Connaught Place, the station features 16 platforms with entrances at Paharganj and Ajmeri Gate.

Raj Ghat is a memorial complex in New Delhi, though part of Central Delhi, Delhi, India. The first memorial there was dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi, where a black marble platform was raised to mark the location of his cremation on 31 January 1948 and consists of an eternal flame at one end.

Old Delhi

Old Delhi is the Mughal-era walled city that comprises the historic core of Delhi. Constructed by the fifth Mughal ruler Shah Jahan as Shahjahanabad, Old Delhi is centred around the Red Fort and the Jama Masjid, as well as Chandni Chowk, a paradise for street food lovers.

North New Delhi

North New Delhi is the commercial enclave of New Delhi, north of the Kartavya Bhavan Complex. It consists of Connaught Place, the city's commercial heart, as well as the Supreme Court, the symbol of India's judiciary.

East Delhi

East Delhi, on the eastern bank of the Yamuna River, is one of the victims of the city's urban sprawls over the last decades. Although not particularly attractive for history buffs, East Delhi is home to the Akshardham, Delhi's largest Hindu temple.
