The University of Science and Technology – Houari Boumediene is a university located in the town of Bab-Ezzouar 15 kilometres from Algiers, Algeria. The university was designed by Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer and was inaugurated in 1974. University of Sciences and Technology Houari Boumediene is situated 3½ km southeast of Mohammadia.

Bordj El Kiffan is a suburb of the city of Algiers in northern Algeria. It is in the eastern section of the city, near Matares Beach. Named Fort de l'Eau under French rule prior to 1962, used to be a famous beach resort within the Bay of Algiers, complete with luxury hotels and a casino. Bordj El Kiffan is situated 4½ km northeast of Mohammadia.

Kouba is a suburb situated on a height just south-east of the central city of Algiers in northern Algeria. It is home to the Kouba city council, which was built during the French colonial times. Its name refers to "Qubba", which means "dome". Kouba is situated 5 km west of Mohammadia.
