The Djamaa el Kebir or Great Mosque of Algiers, is a mosque located in the city of Algiers, Algeria. Built in 1097, it is one of the few remaining examples of Almoravid architecture.

The Ketchaoua Mosque, also known as Djamaa Ketchaoua, is a mosque in the city of Algiers, the capital of Algeria. Completed in the 17th century, during Ottoman period, the mosque is located at the foot of the Casbah of Algiers, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is on the first of the Casbah's many steep stairways.

Bouzareah or Bouzaréah, formerly known as Bouzriah, is a suburb of Algiers, Algeria. The former name is derived from Arabic and is commonly interpreted as meaning “city of the wind.” Bouzareah is situated at an altitude of over 300 metres above sea level. Bouzaréah is situated 3½ km west of Casbah.
