Kuopio railway station is located in the Maljalahti district of the city of Kuopio in the Northern Savonia region of Finland. The current concrete station building was completed in 1934, which replaced the original wooden station building situated 900 m to the east, which was constructed in 1889; the latter site is now a goods yard.

Kuopio City Hall is a town hall in center of the Kuopio, Finland, near the Kuopio Market Square. It was designed by Finnish architects F. A. Sjöström and Josef Stenbäck, and was completed in 1886. Kuopio City Hall is situated 410 metres south of Kuopio railway station.
