The Fildes Peninsula is a 7 km long peninsula that forms the south-western end of King George Island in the South Shetland Islands of Antarctica. It was named from association with nearby Fildes Strait by the UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee in 1960; the strait was likely named for Robert Fildes, a British sealer of the 1800s. Fildes Peninsula is situated 3 km west of Collins.
Profound Lake
Lake
Profound Lake or Lake Profound is a lake 400 metres northwest of Jasper Point in northeast Fildes Peninsula, King George Island. The feature was named "Ozero Glubokoye" by the Soviet Antarctic Expedition working from Bellingshausen Station from 1968, but both forms of the name were already in use in Antarctica. Profound Lake is situated 3½ km southwest of Collins.

President Eduardo Frei Montalva Base is situated 7 km southwest of Collins.
