It is located in Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi in the Odesa Oblast of southwestern Ukraine, in the Budjak, the historical region of Bessarabia. Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi fortress is situated 570 metres northwest of Church of the Dormition of the Holy Mother of God.
