Charlotte is an ambitious and rapidly growing city in the southern part of the Piedmont of North Carolina. It is also developing its fledgling tourist industry; its central core is one of the most visitor-friendly districts in the Carolinas.
Uptown Charlotte

Uptown is the central business district of Charlotte. It is home to most of the city's major institutions, and is the historic core. It is also the geographic center of Charlotte, with the center point of the city at the intersection of Trade and Tryon Streets.
Gastonia

Gastonia is a small city in the Piedmont of North Carolina, about 20 mi west of the major United States city of Charlotte. In 2016, Gastonia had a population of 75,535, making it the third largest city of the Charlotte Metro.

Salisbury is a city in the Piedmont region of North Carolina. This town stemming back to the mid-18th century along Native American trade routes and transitioning through Revolutionary and Civil War and agricultural, industrial, and post-industrial times has a downtown quarter numbered with boutique shops and a popular transportation museum nearby.

Statesville is a city in Iredell County, North Carolina, United States, and its county seat. The population was 28,419 at the time of the 2020 census. Statesville was established in 1789 by an act of the North Carolina Legislature.

Bessemer City is a small suburban city in Gaston County, North Carolina, United States. The population is 5,340. The city is approximately 6 miles northwest of Gastonia and 25 miles west of Charlotte. It was settled in 1756 and founded in 1893.
