Chicago

Loop

The Loop is the central business district of Chicago, bounded by the Chicago River to the north and west, Harrison Street to the south, and Lake Michigan to the east.
Naperville

Naperville is a bedroom community in the Chicagoland area. In 2008, Money magazine ranked Naperville third on its list of the 100 best places to live in the United States.

Northwest Suburbs
The Northwestern Suburbs is a region in Chicagoland, primary located in northwestern Cook, southern Lake and northern DuPage County, primarily centered along the Union Pacific Northwest Metra Line, though encompassing areas well beyond the rail line.
South Suburbs
The South Suburbs make up a region of Chicagoland, in Illinois. The region is generally defined as the area south of I-55 and the Chicago Skyway. Many of the communities immediately near Chicago continue to have an urban character while many of the southernmost communities are suburban and exurban.
North Shore
The North Shore is a collection of affluent communities located in Cook and Lake Counties north of the city limits of Chicago. While the definition of the region is somewhat fluid, it generally includes the lakefront communities located between the northern edge of the City of Chicago and south of the Wisconsin border.
Kankakee Area
The Kankakee Area is made up of Kankakee County, part of the Chicagoland region of Illinois.Fox River Valley
The Fox River Valley is a region in greater Chicagoland. It generally is centered on the Fox River, a major tributary of the Illinois River, and sits on the outer edge of the greater region.
Far North Suburbs
The Far North Suburbs region is an area of greater Chicagoland encompassing many portions of Lake County. The anchor of region is Waukegan, the Lake County seat, though many other communities make the area distinct.
