Hamhung

Hamhŭng is North Korea's second-most populous city, and a major port city and industrial hub. Hamhung is the capital of South Hamgyŏng Province and the 16th largest city in the Korean Peninsula.
Chongjin

Chongjin is the capital of North Korea's North Hamgyong Province. It is the country's third-largest city by population and an important port city on the northeastern coast.
Wonsan

Wonsan, previously known as Wonsanjin, is a port city and naval base located in Kangwon Province, North Korea, along the eastern side of the Korean Peninsula, on the Sea of Japan and the provincial capital.

Rason

Rason is a North Korean special city and ice-free port in the Sea of Japan in the North Pacific Ocean on the northeast tip of North Korea. It is in the Kwanbuk region and location of the Rason Special Economic Zone.
Kumgangsan

Kumgangsan, literally the Diamond Mountains, is in North Korea. The mountain and surroundings were listed as a mixed UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2025.
