Fuzhou is the capital of Fujian Province in China. An older romanisation is "Foochow". Population is about 4.4 million in the city, 7.1 million for the whole prefecture.

Ningde is a coastal city in the eastern part of Fujian Province, known for its rich natural resources and unique maritime culture. The city boasts beautiful beaches, mountains, islands, and abundant ecological landscapes, making it an ideal destination for tourism and vacation.

Changle is a small city, administratively part of Fuzhou, in Fujian. Much of Changle is effectively an ancestral hometown. Chinese people from around the world, and virtually all Fuzhounese Americans in New York City, have ties or are descended from Changle, and nearly all of its development is funded by remittances from its diaspora.

Mawei is in Southeast China, about 20 kilometres southeast of Fuzhou, downstream along the Min River. It is a small town by Chinese standards; its population was 232,000 in the 2010 census.

Xiapu is located in northeastern Fujian Province, China, is a county under the jurisdiction of Ningde City, known as "sea wonderland". Known for its unique beach landscape and rich marine resources, it is a paradise for photographers, especially for tidal change, fishermen's labor scenes and beautiful sunrise and sunset views.
