Tashiyangtse is a small town and administrative headquarters of Tashiyangtse district in north-Eastern Bhutan.

Trashigang is an administrative town of 4,500 people in Eastern Bhutan. The traditional architecture and narrow streets give the town a quaint and snug feel, not unlike an Italian or Cornish fishing village.

Mongar

Mongar town is the administrative head of Mongar district in Eastern Bhutan. Perched on a hill, the old bazaar area has been expanded extensively, making the town one of the region's largest settlements.
Lhuentse

Lhuentse is a town and the headquarters of the eponymous Lhuentse District in northeastern Bhutan. It is about 74 km from Mongar, 145 km from Trashigang and 452 km from the national capital Thimphu.
Phrumsengla National Park

Phrumsengla National Park, formerly Thrumshingla National Park, in central Bhutan covers just over 905 square kilometres across four districts, but primarily in Mongar. It is bisected by the Lateral Road, and contains the Thrumshing La pass.
Bumdeling Wildlife Sanctuary

The Bumdeling Wildlife Sanctuary, which contains the former Kulong Chu Wildlife Sanctuary, covers 1,520.61 square kilometres in northeastern Bhutan at elevations between 1,500 metres and 6,000 metres.

Sakteng Wildlife Sanctuary is a wildlife sanctuary in Bhutan, located in Merak and Sakteng Gewogs of Trashigang District and just crossing the border into Samdrup Jongkhar District.
Jomotsangkha Wildlife Sanctuary

Jomotsangkha Wildlife Sanctuary is the smallest protected area of Bhutan covering 334.73 square kilometres in Samdrup Jongkhar District along the southern border with Assam.
Dewathang
