Bouaké is the second-largest city in Ivory Coast, with a population of 740,000. It is the seat of three levels of subdivision—Vallée du Bandama District, Gbêkê Region, and Bouaké Department.

Abengourou is a city of around 120,000 inhabitants in the east of Côte d'Ivoire. It's the administrative capital of the Moyen-Comoé region but also a regional centre for trade, learning, medical care and religion.
