Ebonyi State is a state in South East Nigeria. Ebonyi is called "the salt of the nation" for its huge salt deposit at the Okposi and Uburu Salt Lakes. Abakaliki is the capital city of Ebonyi State, one of the southeastern states in Nigeria. The inhabitants are members of the Igbo nation. It lies at the crossways of the Enugu, Afikpo and Ogoja Roads.
