Egilsstaðir Airport is a single-runway airport in Egilsstaðir, Iceland. The only scheduled carrier is Icelandair with flights to Reykjavík. Egilsstaðir also serves as a diversion airport for Keflavik International Airport located 415 kilometers southwest of Egilsstaðir.

Egilsstadir Upper Secondary School is a gymnasium in the Eastern Region, Iceland Egilsstadir Upper Secondary School was founded in 1979. For the first few years the school was housed in a building built in 1983 that now houses boarders.

Fellabær is a town in Eastern Iceland, located right across Lagarfljót from Egilsstaðir. A short bridge across Lagarfljót, approximately 300 metres in length, connects Egilsstaðir and Fellabær.
