Esztergom

Esztergom is a town in the region, on the right bank of the river Danube, that is, on the border between Slovakia and Hungary. The original capital of the Kingdom of Hungary, Esztergom preserves its sites of medieval significance.

The Primatial Basilica of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary and St Adalbert, also known as the Basilica of Esztergom, is an ecclesiastic basilica in Esztergom, , the mother church of the Archdiocese of Esztergom-Budapest, and the seat of the Catholic Church in Hungary.
