Gomel or Homyel is a city in south-eastern Belarus. It serves as the administrative centre of Gomel Region and Gomel District, though it is administratively separated from the district.

Mazyr or Mozyr is a city in Gomel Region, Belarus. It serves as the administrative center of Mazyr District. It is situated on the Pripyat River about 210 kilometres east of Pinsk and 100 kilometres northwest of Chernobyl in Ukraine.

Turaŭ or Turov is a small town in Gomel Oblast, Belarus. An important city of East Slavs during the Middle Ages, the centre of a vast duchy and the seat of influential bishops, it underwent a series of misfortunes including the earthquake of 1230 shortly followed by an enemy invasion, and never regained its old importance.
