Recife, the capital of Pernambuco, is one of the largest and most important cities on the northeastern coast of Brazil. This lively state capital, founded by Dutch colonizers, is brimming with a vibrant culture, an interesting old town and some nice beaches.
Olinda

Olinda is a city in the northeastern Brazilian state of Pernambuco. It hosts one of Brazil's most famous carnivals and is listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO due to its 16th and 17th century buildings.
Cabo de Santo Agostinho

Cabo de Santo Agostinho is a 448 square kilometer sized municipality located 35 kilometers south of the city of Recife, Pernambuco, Brazil. It is believed by some historians that Vicente Yáñez Pinzón had set anchor in a bay in Cabo de Santo Agostinho on January 26, 1500, however the Portuguese discovery of Brazil was by Pedro Álvares Cabral on April 21, 1500 is officially recognized instead.

Ipojuca

Ipojuca is a municipality in Grande Recife, Pernambuco. It is well-known as home to the Port of Suape, the most important of the state, and beautiful beaches, including Muro Alto, Maracaípe and Porto de Galinhas, the latter being one of the most famous beaches of Brazil, covered in its own article.
