Issyk Kul

Issyk Kul is a lake in Kyrgyzstan. The name refers both to the lake and the oblast containing the lake. The region is centered around the massive Issyk Kul lake, which is the second largest alpine lake in the world.

Karakol, formerly Przhevalsk, is the fourth-largest city in Kyrgyzstan, near the eastern tip of Lake Issyk-Kul, about 150 kilometres from the Kyrgyzstan–China border and 380 kilometres from the capital Bishkek.
Balykchy

Balykchy is a city of 51,000 people at Issyk Kul. It was the center of the lake's fishing fleet, but has suffered a major decline since the collapse of the Soviet Union. It now only on the path to the tourist sites of the lake, but largely by-passed.

The Tong District is a raion in Issyk Kul and the Tian Shan in north-eastern Kyrgyzstan. The capital of the district is Bokonbayevo which is covered in a separate article.
Ak-Suu
Ak-Suu is a district of Isxsyk-Kul Region in eastern Kyrgyzstan. The administrative center lies at the village Teploklyuchenka. Its area is 9,917 square kilometres, and its resident population was 69,439 in 2021.Jeti Ögüz
Bokonbayevo

Bökönbai is a village in the Issyk-Kul Region of Kyrgyzstan. The village is named in honor of the well-known poet and playwright Joomart Bökönbayev. It is the seat of the Tong District and of the Kün-Chygysh village community.
Kadji Say

Kajy-Say is a village in Tong District in Issyk-Kul Region of Kyrgyzstan. It was established in regard with development of Segety deposit of brown coal in 1947. Its population was 4,612 in 2021. Until 2012 it was an urban-type settlement.
Jyrgalan
Jyrgalang is a village in the Ak-Suu District of Issyk-Kul Region of Kyrgyzstan. It is located at the right bank of the river Jyrgalang. It was established in 1964 to support operation of a coal mine Jyrgalan.Tamga
