Katanga
Katanga was one of the four large provinces created in the Belgian Congo in 1914. It was one of the eleven provinces of the Democratic Republic of the Congo between 1966 and 2015, when it was split into the Tanganyika, Haut-Lomami, Lualaba, and Haut-Katanga provinces.| Tap on a place to explore it |

Lubumbashi

Lubumbashi is the second largest city in the Democratic Republic of the Congo with a population of 1.8 million, and the principal city of the Katanga region.
Likasi

Likasi is a city of 630,000 inhabitants in Katanga. The city is full of hills, hence the name Likasi ya Bilima, Likasi of the hills. Its highest point, Karajipopo in the commune of Panda, is 1,427 m.
Kalemie

Kalemie, formerly Albertville or Albertstad, is a city on the western shore of Lake Tanganyika in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The Lukuga River, that drains Lake Tanganyika to the Lualaba River, runs through the city.
