Kotka is the southeasternmost major city in Finland, an important port at the mouth of the Kymi river. It is part of the region. The port town heritage and associated folklore is central for its identity.

is a steam-powered icebreaker preserved in the Maritime Museum of Finland in Kotka. Built in 1907 by Sir W.G. Armstrong, Whitworth & Co Ltd in , United Kingdom, she was the third state-owned icebreaker of Finland and the last Finnish steam-powered icebreaker to remain in service.
