Kunene
Kunene is one of the fourteen regions of Namibia. Its capital is Opuwo, its governor is Vipuakuje Muharukua. The region's name comes from the Kunene River which forms the northern border with Angola.| Tap on a place to explore it |

Twyfelfontein is a UNESCO World Heritage Site of ancient rock engravings in the Kunene region of north-western Namibia.

Epupa Falls is in Kaokoland in the remote north of the Kunene Region of northwestern Namibia. Most inhabitants are Ovahimba.

Outjo

Outjo is a town of 15,000 inhabitants in the Kunene Region of Namibia. It is the district capital of Outjo Constituency. It is best known as the main gateway to Etosha National Park.
Khorixas

Khorixas is a town of about 6,800 inhabitants in Kunene in Namibia. The town is near an important deposit of petrified wood and the Twyfelfontein valley, known for its rock art.
Kaokoland

Kaokoland is an area in the NW corner of Namibia's Kunene Region. It remains the most 'untouched' and remote part of the country, much of it still only accessible by 4x4 on hardcore tracks - not for the faint-hearted! The main town in the area is 1 Opuwo.
