Sendai

Sendai is the largest city in the Tohoku region of Japan's Honshu island, with around 1 million people. It is the capital of Miyagi prefecture. As everyone here will tell you, "Sendai is not too big and not too small, it's very convenient and it's close to both the sea and the mountains." Ishinomaki

Ishinomaki is a city in Miyagi. It has a population of around 165,000 people. Its islands, Kinkasan and Tashirojima have separate articles.
Kesennuma

Kesennuma is a city in Miyagi, Japan. It is home to the only shark museum in the country. There you can try a shark fin burger or various other delicacies of the city.

Tashirojima is a small island in Ishinomaki, Miyagi Prefecture, Japan. It lies in the Pacific Ocean off the Oshika Peninsula, to the north of Aji Island.

Zaō is a town located in Miyagi Prefecture, Japan. As of 31 March 2020, the town had an estimated population of 11,790, and a population density of 77 persons per km2 in 4,493 households. The total area of the town is 152.84 square kilometres.
Shiroishi

Shiroishi is a town located in south-central Saga Prefecture, Japan, in Kishima District. It is known for its vast reclaimed land and tidal flats of the Ariake Sea.As of 31 May 2024, the town had an estimated population of 20,790, and a population density of 210 persons per km².
Kinkasan

Naruko is a small town in Osaki, Miyagi, known for ancient hot springs. Nestled in the mountainous backbone of Tohoku, Naruko is located entirely within the Kurikoma Quasi-National Park.
