Lake Hévíz

Lake Hévíz is located in Hévíz, Hungary, near the western end of Lake Balaton, 8 kilometres from Keszthely. It is the largest swimmable thermal lake in the world, and is the second largest thermal lake in general, second to only the Frying Pan Lake in New Zealand, which is too hot for swimming.

Festetics Castle

The Festetics Palace is a Baroque palace located in the town of Keszthely, Zala, Hungary. The building now houses the Helikon Palace Museum. The palace's construction, started by Kristóf Festetics in 1745, lasted more than a century. Festetics Castle is situated 3 km southeast of Kertváros.

Keszthely is a Hungarian city of 20,895 inhabitants located on the western shore of Lake Balaton. It is the second largest city by the lake and one of the more important cultural, educational and economic hubs in the region.

Gyenesdiás is a lovely resort village only 100 km from the western border of Hungary, in the West Balaton region 15 km from the Hévíz-Balaton Airport. The towns of Keszthely, known for its fascinating Festetics Palace, and Hévíz with its world famous spa are only a few kilometres from here.
