Universal City Station is a train station on the West Japan Railway Company Sakurajima Line in Konohana-ku, Osaka, Japan. The station has the same name as the station in Universal Studios Hollywood, Universal City Station.

The Kyū-Yodo River was the main stream of the Yodo River before 1907, when the current Yodo River was constructed by a normalisation project. Now called the Kyū-Yodo River, it is a major waterway in central Osaka and the main drainage of Neyagawa river.

Taishō is one of 24 wards of Osaka, Japan. As of October 1, 2006, the ward has an estimated population of 72,742 and the total area is 9.43 km2. Taisho is surrounded by canals and it is named after the Taisho bridge, a main bridge built in Taishō period. Taisho-ku is situated 3½ km southeast of SOYU.
