Sustipan is a small peninsula located in the southwestern part of Split. In Middle Ages there was a Benedictine monastery and a church. In the 19th century one of the most beautiful cemeteries of the whole Croatia was built in Sustipan.

Diocletian's Palace is an ancient Roman palace and fortress complex built at the end of the third century AD by the Roman Emperor Diocletian as his retirement residence. Diocletian’s Palace is situated 1½ km northeast of Marjan.
