Altura is a town and a civil parish in the municipality of Castro Marim, Algarve, Portugal. The population in 2011 was 2,195, in an area of 11.10 km². It is a popular summer destination due to its beaches by the Atlantic Ocean. Altura is situated 4 km west of ☯ Taoismo.
