Cimarron is a small town in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains of Northeast New Mexico. Popular in the summer for world-class fly-fishing in the Cimarron River it is the closest town to Philmont Boy Scout Ranch. Cimarron is situated 4½ miles east of Cimarron Canyon.
