Tolata is a locality in the Cochabamba Department in central Bolivia. It is the seat of the Tolata Municipality, the third municipal section of the Germán Jordán Province. At the time of census 2001 it had a population of 2,207. Tolata is situated 6 km east of Cruce Sacaba.

Tarata is a small city in the department of Cochabamba. It is prominent among the region's colonial towns for its surviving traditional architecture, and it is home to the annual festival of San Severino which marks the coming of the rains in late November.
