Porreres is an agricultural town in Pla de Mallorca, the central plain of that island, with a population of just under 6,000 in 2024. It's named for Guillem de Porrera, one of the conquering knights accompanying King Jaume I. Porreres is situated 4 km north of Mola d’Es Monjos.
