San Javier is a town of some 32,000 inhabitants in Murcia in the southeast of Spain. Its main claim to fame is the international Jazz Festival held here every year since 1998. The town has also hosted the Spanish Air Force Academy since the 1920s. San Javier is situated 5 km southeast of Llano de Murcia.
