Lusarat

Lusarat is a village in the Vedi Municipality of the Ararat Province of Armenia. It is situated adjacent to the Armenia–Turkey border.

Khor Virap is an Armenian monastery located in the Ararat Plain in Armenia, near the border with Turkey, about 8 kilometres south of Artashat, Ararat Province, in the territory of ancient Artaxata.

Artashat, Hellenized as Artaxata and Artaxiasata, was a major city and commercial center of ancient Armenia that served as the capital of the Kingdom of Armenia from its founding in 176 BC to 120 AD, with some interruptions.
