Daingerfield is a small town and county seat of Morris County in Northeastern Texas. It is the 4th oldest city in Texas, with a history rooted in 19th-century industry and the Civil War era.

Hughes Springs is a city in Cass and Morris counties in the U.S. state of Texas. At the 2020 census, its population was 1,575. The town was heavily damaged by an EF2 tornado on November 4, 2022. Hughes Springs is situated 6 miles southeast of Daingerfield, C. S. A..
