The Horst-Schmidt-Kliniken in the district of Dotzheim is the largest hospital complex in Wiesbaden founding in 1879, owing to its affiliated institutions and 1,027 beds. In 1982 the new buildings were relocated to the present location. Horst-Schmidt-Kliniken is situated 1¼ km west of Der Palmenfreund.

The Ringkirche is a Protestant church in Wiesbaden, the state capital of Hesse, Germany. The Romanesque Revival church was built between 1892 and 1894 and designed by Johannes Otzen. The historic monument also serves as a concert venue. Ringkirche is situated 2 km northeast of Der Palmenfreund.
