The Dent du Chamois is a mountain of the Swiss Prealps, located east of Gruyères in the canton of Fribourg. It lies on the range north of the Vanil Noir, between the valleys of the Sarine and the Motélon. From the col of La Forcla, a trail leads to its summit. Dent du Chamois is situated 2½ km northeast of La Communance.

Gruyères is a town in Switzerland and the capital of the district of Gruyère in the canton of Fribourg in Switzerland. Its German name is Greyerz. This medieval town is an important tourist location in the upper valley of the Saane river, and gives its name to the well-known Gruyère cheese.
