Fort Tigné

Fort Tigné is a polygonal fort in Tigné Point, Sliema, Malta. It was built by the Order of Saint John between 1793 and 1795 to protect the entrance to Marsamxett Harbour. Fort Tigné is situated 110 metres north of Panoramic View of Valetta.

It was founded by Grand Master Emmanuel de Rohan-Polduc in 1776 out of the collections of the knight Louis Guérin de Tencin. National Library is situated 1 km south of Panoramic View of Valetta.
