Asuka-dera, also known as Hōkō-ji, is a Buddhist temple located in the village of Asuka, Nara Prefecture, Japan. It currently belongs to the Shingon-shū Buzan-ha sect. Asuka-dera Temple is situated 520 metres north of Asuka Pond Garden Site.

Kawara-dera was a Buddhist temple established during the Asuka period in the village of Asuka, Nara Prefecture, Japan. Archaeological excavations have revealed a large-scale complex which included two Kondō, a pagoda, extensive priests' quarters, and roof tiles that are "among the most beautiful ever made in Japan". Kawahara-dera is situated 240 metres southwest of Asuka Pond Garden Site.
