Sinchon station is a station on Line 2 of the Seoul Metropolitan Subway in Mapo-gu, north of the Han River. It is located between Hongik University station and Ewha Womans University station.

Sogang University is a private Jesuit research university in Mapo, Seoul, South Korea. Sogang University was established on April 18, 1960 by the Society of Jesus, with the school being the oldest and only Jesuit institution of higher education in the country. Sogang University is situated 540 metres southeast of Hong Ik Moon Go.

Sinchon station is a station on the Gyeongui–Jungang Line. It was opened as a railway station in 1921 and Seoul Metro traffic commenced in 2009. Sinchon is situated 650 metres northeast of Hong Ik Moon Go.

They're most notable for their colleges and universities, resulting in a distinctly youthful culture, especially in the twin subdistricts of Hongdae and Sinchon, separated by a single subway stop, a 10-minute bus ride, or a 20-minute walk.
