Chalcis is the biggest city of the island of Evvia in Sterea Hellada. It is the capital of the Prefecture of Evvia. Through the Middle Ages the city was a Venetian fortress, known as "Negroponte".

Nea Artaki is a town and a former municipality on the island of Euboea in Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is a municipal unit, part of the municipality of Chalcis.

Psachna is a town in Euboea, central Greece, 16 km north of Chalcis. It is built in a small plain in the central-west part of the island. Psachna is the seat of Dirfys-Messapia municipality and the seat of Messapia municipal unit.
