Medvode train station is a railway station, which is situated 370 metres west of Hip Shop.

The Sora is a right affluent of the Sava River in western Slovenia. The Sora gathers its waters mainly from the Škofja Loka Hills. Its source branches are the Poljane Sora, named after the Poljane Valley, and the Selca Sora, named after the Selca Valley.
