The main section of the park is in the unincorporated community of Shiloh, about nine miles south of Savannah, Tennessee, with additional areas located in the city of Corinth, Mississippi, 23 miles southwest of Shiloh and the Parker's Crossroads Battlefield in the city of Parkers Crossroads, Tennessee. Shiloh National Cemetery is situated 1 mile east of Tour Stop #11.

Diamond Island was purchased jointly by William Albert Warren and his brother Joshua Warren in 1851 Hardin County historian, David Cagle reports: "Sarah Thomas called me with information re Diamond Island. Diamond Island is situated 2½ miles northeast of Tour Stop #11.
