The Stadium of Philippopolis was the ancient Roman stadium of Philippopolis, built in the 2nd century AD, during the Roman imperial period. It is among the largest and best preserved buildings from the time of the Roman Empire in the Balkan peninsula. Roman stadium is situated 140 metres north of Plovdiv City Center.

The Dzhumaya Mosque, also known as the Friday Mosque, is a mosque located in Plovdiv, in the Plovdiv Province of Bulgaria. Located in the centre of Plovdiv, the mosque was built in 1363–1364 on the site of the Sveta Petka Tarnovska Cathedral Church after the conquest of Plovdiv by the Ottoman army. Dzhumaya Mosque is situated 160 metres north of Plovdiv City Center.
