Little Switzerland is an unincorporated community in McDowell and Mitchell counties of North Carolina, United States. It is located along North Carolina Highway 226A off the Blue Ridge Parkway, directly north of Marion and south of Spruce Pine. Little Switzerland is situated 2 miles west of Gillespie Gap.

Spruce Pine is the largest town in Mitchell County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 2,194 at the 2020 census. It is one of the only places in the world where high-purity quartz can be found. Spruce Pine is situated 4½ miles north of Gillespie Gap.
