Sighișoara Citadel

The Historic Centre of Sighișoara is the old historic center of the town of Sighișoara, Romania, built in the 12th century by Saxon settlers. It is an inhabited medieval citadel that, in 1999, was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its 850-year-old testament to the history and culture of the Transylvanian Saxons. Sighișoara Citadel is situated 110 metres east of Bolda de Fer.

Tailors‘ Tower

The Tailors' Tower, belonging to Mureș County in Romania was built in the 14th century. It is located opposite to the Clock Tower and it guards the second gateway into the Citadel of Sighişoara.

The Stag House is the most preserved house of Sighișoara, Romania, and it was built in the 17th century. It was called so because of the stag head fixed on the corner of the building. Stag House is situated 100 metres east of Bolda de Fer.

Sighișoara is a city on the Tarnava River in Mures county, in the historic region of Transylvania. German craftsmen and merchants, the Transylvanian Saxons, were invited here by the King of Hungary during the 12th century to settle and defend the frontier.
