Lighthouse Nos Shabla

Lighthouse

The Shabla Lighthouse is a lighthouse located 5 kilometres east of the town of Shabla, Dobrich Province; in Bulgaria. The lighthouse was built in 1856 by the Ottoman Empire and is the oldest lighthouse in Bulgaria.

Lake Shabla is a lagoon in the north-eastern Bulgaria, which separated from the Black Sea by the sandbar. The area of the water body is 0.8 km2, depth 0.4–4 m, salinity 0,4%. The lagoon is located on 3 km east from the town of Shabla.

Shabla is a town and seaside resort in northeastern Bulgaria, administrative centre of the Shabla Municipality part of Dobrich Province. Shabla municipality includes the following villages: Bojanovo, Chernomortsi, Durankulak, Ezerets, Gorichane, Gorun, Granichar, Krapets, Prolez, Smin, Staevtsi, Tvarditsa, Tyulenovo, Vaklino, and Zahari Stoyanovo.
