Mieza

Mieza was a town in ancient Macedonia, where Aristotle was said to have taught the boy Alexander the Great between 343 and 340 BCE. Ptolemy classifies Mieza among the cities of Emathia. Mieza is situated 3 km southeast of Estate Chrisohoou.

The Tomb of Lyson and Kallikles is an ancient Macedonian tomb of the Hellenistic period in Mieza, noted for the quality of its painted decoration. The tomb was originally built for the brothers Lyson and Kallikles, sons of Aristophanes, around 250 BC and it continued to be used by their descendants for around a century, going out of use around the time of the Roman conquest. Tomb of Lyson and Kallikles is situated 2½ km southeast of Estate Chrisohoou.

The Tomb of the Palmettes, sometimes known as the Rhomiopoulou Tomb, is an ancient Macedonian tomb of the Hellenistic period in Mieza, Macedonia, Greece, noted for the quality of its painted decoration. It was built in the first half of the third century BC. Lefkadia Flowers Tomb (Emathia) is situated 3½ km east of Estate Chrisohoou.
