Ticuantepe, is a town and a municipality in the Managua department of Nicaragua with an estimated population of 39,012. The municipality is named after the Nahua chiefdom of Tekwantepek which was located in the modern municipality of Ticuantepe and the surrounding area. Ticuantepe is situated 6 km west of El Raizón.
