Plaszow, officially named Plaszow concentration camp near Krakow, was a German Nazi concentration camp operated by the SS in the area of Podgórze and Wola Duchacka near Płaszów, a southern suburb of Kraków, in the General Governorate of German-occupied Poland. Kraków-Płaszów concentration camp is situated 400 metres north of Płaszów Monument in Kraków.

Krakus Mound or Kopiec Krakusa in Polish, also called the Krak Mound, is a tumulus located in the Podgórze district of Kraków, Poland; it is thought to be the resting place of Kraków's mythical founder, the legendary king Krakus. Krakus Mound is situated 1 km north of Płaszów Monument in Kraków.
