The Sierra Nevada Observatory is located at Loma de Dilar in the Sierra Nevada mountain range, in the province of Granada, Spain; established in 1981. It is operated and maintained by the Instituto de Astrofísica de Andalucía and contains two Nasmyth telescopes with apertures of 1.5 and 0.9 metres. Sierra Nevada Observatory is situated 1 km south of Telesilla Veleta.

The IRAM 30m telescope is a radio telescope, located in the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range, Spain. It is operated by the Institute for Radio Astronomy in the Millimetre Range for observing astronomical objects in the millimetre range of the electromagnetic spectrum. IRAM 30m telescope is situated 740 metres southwest of Telesilla Veleta.
